First try at homemade chili sauce

Right, I've been seed saving my peter peppers today so after the operation of cleaning out I was left with the eviscerated remains of 3 peppers.

Chopped finely into a pan with a little olive oil (1 teaspoon)
1 medium red onion.
2 large tomatoes
2 cloves of garlic
gently fried for 1 minute then added 100ml of water.
Brought to boil then reduced for 45 minutes at a gentle simmer stirring regularly.

Ran it through the blender after cooling then tasted

Chili con carne tomorrow methinks but got to be careful as this stuff is hot.

Everything except the olive oil homegrown.

Chilli sauce recipe

Hi Jock,

Thanks for the recipe - we tried it out here at Chilli Willy Kitchens and it was great!

Have you got any other homemade chilli sauce recipes?

Regards,
Chilli Willy Team.
